“This song is a representation of my personal expression and creativity in the form of music. I had a ton of fun creating this song, as it combined 2 things that I enjoy – coding and making music. I found it to be a fun challenge, getting to incorporate the two into a result that I am quite satisfied with. My song tells a story of empowerment, confidence, and self-affirmation, and I hope to use my music to inspire others to find their own creative outlet, whether it be music, or another form of art. I hope you enjoy my song!”

Lesson

Looking for a lesson to teach with the competition? Check out our Manufacture Your Music module! We've included a teacher guide, slides, student worksheet, and template code to help make the jump to get started as easy as possible! We recommend spending 2-3 days with your class on this lesson as working on their songs in EarSketch may take some time for students. The template/sample code exists to help beginner students understand the format for a solid submission. Students may import the script so they can edit the code and create their song.
